MEMBERSHIP

       There are three objectives of the Society such as to promote and advance knowledge on all aspects of plant protection in Malaysia, to organize and arrange lectures, meetings, symposia, seminars, workshops for promoting and exchange of views among members on plant protection at regional and international levels, and to publish and communicate scientific knowledge on plant protection and related subject in whatever forms it deems necessary.

        MAPPS Membership is an ideal way for you to discover all of the benefits and invitation to all MAPPS activities. In addition it will providing you with discounted rate (when you join as member) on any MAPPS event, lectures, meetings, symposia, seminars, workshops, and conferences on plant protection at regional and international level. It is an economical ways of saving your money while you discover knowledge through sharing from your involvement for an entire year of planned event. By purchasing a membership also demonstrates your belief in our objectives to increase the understanding and appreciate the advance knowledge of plant protection in Malaysia through scientific and technological sharing heritage. We appreciate your support.Membership categories open to public are as follows:-

ORDINARY MEMBERSHIP

Ordinary membership is open to person s who actively engaged in plant protection, whose names have been proposed and seconded by members. Upon acceptance of membership application, only persons who approved by a majority vote of council members present at a meeting of council will be accepted as members. The basic qualifications for ordinary membership are:-

1. A basic degree in Science or Agriculture or equivalent.
2. A diploma in Agriculture or equivalent with at least 5 years experience in plant protection, pesticide industry or plantation industry.
3. No undergraduate students of higher institutions of learning, while still pursuing courses of studies are eligible to participate to become members or take part in activities of the Society.

The MAPPS Ordinary Membership Form is for those who interested in Malaysian Plant Protection Society (MAPPS) activities in plant protection in the tropics. For those interested to join as ordinary member, you can download by clicking HERE.


LIFE MEMBERSHIP
List / Application Form
Life membership is open to person s who actively engaged in plant protection and who has had an uninterrupted membership of the society for at least 10 years, having made significant contribution to the Society, whose names have been proposed, seconded and duly elected by a majority vote of Council members present at a meeting of Council and payment of specified fees made. No additional life membership will be conferred when the existing numbers exceeds 1/5 of the current total membership. For those interested to join as life member, you can download by clicking HERE.


SUSTAINING ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP 
List / Application Form
This open to commercial firms in the private sector who are interested in supporting the objectives of the Society, and who have duly elected by a majority vote of Council members present at a meeting of Council. Upon acceptance of membership application, they can participate in all activities of the Society except to vote and hold offices. MEMBERSHIP FEES
