“PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS

GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES (GAP)”

Introduction:
In
this regard MAPPS is organizing an all-day seminar theme on “PLANT
PROTECTION PRODUCTS IN GOOD AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES (GAP)”. The seminar
will address a range of topics related to issues on new discovery of
plant protection products, rational use of pesticide,
biologically-integrated pest control, illegal pesticides and updates on
important pesticide safety and regulatory issues. It is also aim to
provide an opportunity for agricultural scientists, policy makers,
agrochemical producers and suppliers and growers to share their
knowledge and experiences in our effort enhance our skills in
innovative pest management practices for sustainable agriculture.

Instructions for Paper Presenters:
Oral
and poster presenters are required to submit a 2-page paper consisting
of paper title, author(s), contact address and email, introduction,
methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, and references. The
extended abstract should be prepared using single-spaced Times New
Roman with font size 10. Submission of the extended abstract can be
made via email to dzolkhifli@gmail.com and copied to Organizing Secretary (lauweih@gmail.com).
The deadline for submission of extended abstract is 11 November 2011.
All accepted extended abstracts will be published in the seminar
proceedings.
Who Should Attend?
It
is open to all members of MAPPS, MCPA, field managers and supervisors,
researchers and academic communities, and individuals who deal with
customers and users of pesticides on a regular basis. Target audiences
for this seminar are MAPPS members and individuals from the agro-
industries, plantation sectors, government, NGOs, scientists, and
academic communities.
Registration Fees:
Local Participant RM 200.00
Student RM 100.00
For payment method of the seminar, participant payment can be done by cheque and invoice.
